Mark Lacava, LCSW

Mark Lacava, LCSW-R is licensed clinical social worker focusing his work on children and families for over 20 years. Mark uses his extensive experience to provide families not only with counseling, but with practical skills and tools to improve their daily lives. During his training at the prestigious Ackerman Institute for Families, Mark gained skills in a variety of trauma-focused modalities and knowledge on brain development and behavior. He is trained in dyadic developmental psychotherapy. As the Director of Mental Health Services at the Modern Family Center, Mark promotes and encourages a commitment to serving the needs of children, families, and LGBTQ individuals.
Mark is part of a team of therapists at Spence-Chapin’s Modern Family Center.
