Beth Friedberg, LCSW is a licensed clinical social worker with 20 years of experience working with children and families. Beth is skilled at providing a range of parent coaching services including establishing routines, strengthening confidence, developing resilience, and maintaining effective discipline. She has successfully helped parents and children manage family relationships, build attachments and bonds, and navigate difficult discussions around adoption and identity. Beth has counseled many clients on infertility and the decision making process of choosing to be child free, to seek fertility treatments, or pursue adoption. Beth is trained several treatment modalities including theraplay, dyadic developmental psychotherapy, and dialectical behavioral therapy.
Beth is part of a team of therapists at Spence-Chapin’s Modern Family Center.
Education: Bachelors of Arts, Asian Studies and Religion, Hobart and William Smith College; Masters in Social Work, Columbia University.
