A high percentage of children in foster care are adopted by their foster parents. Whether you are a foster parent planning to adopt your foster child(ren), or you have identified a child you would like to adopt, the transition to adoption requires important, thoughtful education and preparation. New prospective adoptive parents need to understand the foster care system and the child’s journey in foster care.
